Ole Henriksen Vitamin C

Vitamin C within skin care has always appealed as it promises to brighten tried and dull skin. Recently I have been striving for a glowing fresh faced look, so when I came across the Ole Henriksen range I had to give some of the products a try.

What’s included in this kit?

The Let's Get Luminous™ Brightening Vitamin C Essentials Set, includes the Truth Serum, the C-Rush Brightening Gel Crème, and the Banana Bright Eye Crème, all in mini size which is perfect for trying out the range and helpful size for traveling!

This particular kit consists of the final steps of your routine (moisturisers and serums), apart from SPF sun protection, which you should always use after applying any products with Vitamin C in!

What does the range promise to do to your skin?

In short, brighten, firm and fight visible signs of ageing, all whilst giving you all day hydration. Let’s see how my skin held up!

Did the routine work for my skin?

So firstly the smell, is enriched with orange and green tea extract so this product does smell of orange but not in a sickly sweet way, it is refreshing and pleasantly light.

The Truth Serum, less is defiantly more! Start with one pump and see what your skin requires. I seemed to have settled at two pumps, one and half for my face and half a pump for my neck.

The C-Rush Brightening Gel Creme is lightweight and creamy with a zesty smell and it did nourish my skin. Even on makeup-less days this product gave my skin a glowing, dewy look.

Finally the Banana Bright Eye Crème, this was my favourite product in this range. Slightly tinted in colour, hydrating and over time brightening for my under eyes, my make up applied better than it has done before and over the month of using this product I can see improvements under my eyes.

Will I be repurchasing?

The Truth Serum only lasted 2 weeks of me testing the product, maybe I used too much! So I think I would have to give this product longer to determine if this would work for me long term.

The C-Rush Brightening Gel Creme I still have a little left after 2 weeks and I will be keeping this product to use on my no makeup days!

The Banana Bright Eye Crème, YES! I truly love this product and will be adding it to my daytime routine.

I have repurchased The Truth Serum and after using this item for the last 2 months, I would highly recommend it, I have been using this a lot during my no-makeup days and find it adds an extra healthy glow to my skin.
